Hello everyone,
Thank you to those of you who joined us for our ‘Introduction to The Artist’s Way and Morning Pages’ workshop over the weekend. We were so happy to host and we hope you left with a takeaway - albeit tiny - to nudge you towards your creative North.
If you enjoyed this session, come along to our next free online workshop: Drawing the Wild Beauty of Bolivia: Llamas, flamingos and mountains. Tuesday 3rd June, 7pm UK time/11am Californian time. Open to all subscribers!
In the session above we covered:
What The Artist's Way is and how it could benefit your creative path
The personal impact of The Artist's Way on our lives
Two reflective writing exercises to get you inspired!
The practice of morning pages
We’d be curious to know if anyone has tried morning pages since the session? Or has anyone tried one of the activities off their list of twenty things they enjoy? We’d love to hear about your responses to the session - let us know in the comments below.
Remember The Artist’s Way encourages baby steps! We might not write a novel or paint a masterpiece this week, but we can dust off our box of watercolors or get ourselves a new notebook.
For those of you who missed the session or would like to forward it on to friends and family, you can access the session recording here.
We’ve both found the morning pages to be a very powerful tool for creative unblocking. Leah shared on the call how writing the pages each morning has become part of her creative ritual. (Often with a cup of coffee in the garden under the Bolivian sun!) As a little reminder here are some key points about the morning pages:
Morning pages are 3 pages of stream-of-consciousness writing
Try to write them first thing in the morning, if possible
Write whatever comes to mind: “Oh, god, another morning. I have NOTHING to say. I need to wash the curtains. Did I get my laundry yesterday? Blah, blah, blah”
The morning pages are just for YOU! Don’t share them with others
If you have any questions about morning pages feel free to ask us in the comments. You can also check out this post about morning pages for more inspiration.
Remember you can also share your ideas/questions/creativity in our community chat! We are very supportive and encouraging so this is a great place to connect.
Happy creating!
Tasha & Leah

Hello,
I'm registered for the April session and I have another question:
