Hello creatives!

It was fantastic to have a bunch of you join yesterday’s session: ‘Keep your Inner Child Creating’. Shout out to our regulars like Amy as well as some newcomers: Julie and Carolina - hope to have you in a future session again sometime!

Every month we host one session to all subscribers (paid and free) to introduce you to a tool for creative unblocking. The Artist’s Way book and 12-week programme can be challenging to digest and complete in one go, so we hope our month by month free events (or weekly sessions if you upgrade to paid) help ease you into your Artist’s Way journey.

July is ‘Inner Child Month’ here at The Artist’s Toolbox so in this month’s free session we explored how connecting with our inner child can help us embody that childlike spirit that keeps us curious and creative. See activity prompts below!

Leah and Tasha as kids

Our session was inspired by tasks from The Artist’s Way. If you missed the session, here are a few short activities you can try - you might find they spark joy, make you more playful, or bring awareness to what you Inner Child or Inner Artist might need more of, or which childhood curiosities are still waiting to be explored:

  1. What was your favourite childhood snack? Treat yourself to it this week!

  2. What was your favourite film as a kid? Can you plan a cosy Artist Date Movie Night for yourself to watch it one week this month?

  3. What was a creative dream or aspiration you had as a child? Do you still have this dream?

Next month our open-to-all session will explore a different tool for creative flourishing. Which one are you interested in hearing more about?
