Register to join our monthly members Morning Pages Co-writing Session tomorrow Sunday 13th July, 9am PT.
I’m reading a book at the moment in which the author talks about morning routines and writes, “For me, a morning is a little “gap” between my authentic self and the “me” I present to the world. Without that gap, I can easily forget who I am. I can start to take the roles I play too seriously. In those early hours that I carve out for myself, I am left to sit in peace. After that, I feel less resentment for the things I have to do, because my cup is now full.”
I resonated with this! My equivalent for what the author writes about above are morning pages - for me they’re a space that provide catharsis, clarity and creativity.
But one thing is reading The Artist’s Way, and another is living The Artist’s Way. Morning Pages can be a commitment, a habit that needs to be cultivated over time, and sometimes they can feel like a slog. It’s a little more fun to cultivate the habit in companiable comfort on a co-working call, so come along tomorrow and we’ll write them together.
Hope to see you tomorrow and in the meantime, happy creating!
